How CarbonSeed Works
We keep the process simple for landowners, project developers, and buyers. Behind the scenes there is a lot of detail, but for you it moves through six clear stages from first conversation to credits delivered.
Step 1
Land intake
We collect basic information about the land: location, size, ecosystem type, ownership, current use, and local context. This can start with a simple conversation and maps, without any commitment.
Step 2
Feasibility
Using remote sensing, reference data, and partner input, we estimate what kind of project is realistic (REDD+, ARR, watershed protection, etc.), potential credit volumes, and key risks or constraints. The goal is to see if the project can stand up to buyer and verifier scrutiny.
Step 3
Project design
Together with technical partners, we outline the project structure: activities on the ground, governance and benefit sharing, legal setup, and which standard and methodology to use. This is where we align incentives between landowners, developers, and future buyers.
Step 4
Validation & verification
The project is taken through the required steps with the chosen standard and third-party auditors. Baselines are set, monitoring plans are defined, and documentation is prepared so that credits are defensible and aligned with best practice.
Step 5
Issuance
Once the project is verified, credits are issued to the registry account. We help make sure ownership and revenue flows are clear so that communities and landowners see the benefit they were promised.
Step 6
Sales & reporting
CarbonSeed connects the project to matched buyers and supports negotiations, documentation, and closing. After a sale, we help provide the reporting and narratives buyers need while keeping landowners and communities informed about performance and future opportunities.
